Disabled Veteran First Issued: 1972 Fee: $3 Two plates issued to passenger car or light truck owned by a veteran (or surviving spouse), certified by the Veteran Administration to have 50% service related disability; or 40% due to amputation of lower extremity. Enduring Freedom First Issued: 10/2003 Fee: none Two plates are issued to passenger cars or light trucks and one plate is issued for motorcycles to applicants who served in the United States armed services and participated in Operation Enduring Freedom. Former POW First Issued: 1979 Fee: $3 1st set, $15 addl. set Two plates issued for persons who were captured and incarcerated by an enemy of the United States during a period of conflict with the United States.
